Ann has been teaching and leading in International Schools for more than 20 years. Originally from the North-East of England, she started her teaching career in inner-city Newcastle before moving to Kuwait. Captivated by cultural difference, she stayed overseas, teaching in Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Switzerland and Taiwan. At the core of her writing is a belief that with the right contextual curriculum, flexible pedagogies and adapted assessment, all students are capable of changing the world.
Ann is passionate about innovation in education and her writing has been published in International Schools’ Magazine. She is also an award-winning contributor to International Schools’ Network. A chapter of her writing on creating cohesive curriculum was published in ‘Perspectives on the IB Diploma Core’ Edited by Fabian, Hayden and Thompson.
Ann has a wealth of experience in supporting schools as a consultant and she leads workshops for teachers and school leaders in curriculum design and pedagogical leadership.
